Before you come
- What do guests say?
- Six five-star Google reviews — 5.0 so far. They talk about the crossing, not a high score. Read them on Google before you book.
- What to do in Seaside Oregon?
- Walk the Promenade when it's dry. When you want something you will actually remember, book Seaside VR — a private indoor arena, escape rooms, and family fun at 140 N Roosevelt Drive. Not another gift shop.
- I've never done VR. Will I look foolish?
- No. Staff fits the headset, explains the experience, and stays in the room. Most first-timers are walking inside two minutes. You can step out anytime.
- Do I sit or walk?
- This is a stand-and-walk crossing. You are on your feet for the session, moving, ducking, and reaching. If you cannot stand and walk unassisted for 20–45 minutes, call us before you book — we will tell you honestly if an experience will work.
- Rainy day Seaside Oregon — what is actually indoor?
- This. The Oregon Coast is wet a lot of the year. Seaside VR is indoor, dry, and you still move — wireless headsets, a 500 sq ft free-roam floor, your people in the same world. Park at our door.
- Fun things around you, activities near me, attractions near me?
- If you are already in Seaside, you are close. Highway 101, diagonally across from City Hall. Family fun and teen activities that are a crossing, not a cabinet. Book the slot — one group at a time.
- What are fun things to do in Seaside with teens?
- This is the one. Private free-roam arena, wireless headsets, your people in the same world. Short hops, premium experiences, and escape rooms. No guests under 11; 11–12 need a parent on-site.
- Is this an arcade?
- No. It is a specialty experience — one 500 sq ft free-roam floor, not a row of cabinets. You walk the world. The session is the story.
- What does a crossing cost?
- The floor is never shared. Quick hops from $30 for two. Premium experiences from $70 for two. Escape rooms from $90 for two. Wireless kits and staff are included — no extra headset fees. Private Dimension is $120 for the group.
- Do you accept walk-ins?
- Yes, when sessions are open. Book online anyway — June through August and weekends sell out. Members get priority over walk-ins.
- Clatsop County business — do I get an experience?
- Yes. Bring a business card to the desk, sign up for the affiliate program, and we put you in an experience on us. One experience for the person who signs. Then you get a unique code: 10% off for the people you send, 10% back for you.
- Motion sickness?
- Free-roam matches what you see with how you walk, so it is easier on most people than seated VR. Step out if you need to. Staff will help.
- Age and height?
- No guests under 11. Suggested ages are listed on each experience. Ages 11–17 need a parent or guardian on the waiver; ages 11–12 need that adult on-site. Pharaoh's Tomb and Argonaut's Gate are the gentlest escapes. Headsets fit best from about 4'2". Colony Olympus, The Frozen City, The Outbreak, and The Asylum are suggested 18+.
- When are you open?
- Sun 11am–6pm · Wed 5pm–8pm · Thu 5pm–8pm · Fri 12pm–8pm · Sat 11am–8pm. On Highway 101, diagonally across from Seaside City Hall. Closed Monday–Tuesday for now. Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday are appointment only. Book the hours ahead posted for that day. No walk-ins.
- Can I move or cancel?
- Yes — use Move or cancel with your confirmation code and email. More than 24 hours out, a cancel refunds the card. Inside 24 hours we keep the payment because the arena was held. Inside two hours, call us.
- What should I wear?
- No shoes in most of the space. Clean socks are required in the arena — $3 a pair at checkout or the desk. Wear clothes you can move, duck, and reach in.
- Where do I park?
- Park at Seaside VR — spots at our door on Roosevelt Drive. You do not need City Hall parking. No Promenade hike.
