VR in Seaside, Oregon: Games, Prices, and How to Book
Free-roam VR in Seaside. Games from $15, private floor, ages 9+. Hours, what to expect, and how to book.
Seaside VR is a free-roam virtual reality arena at 140 N Roosevelt Drive, on Highway 101, diagonally across from Seaside City Hall. You book the floor for your group, put on a wireless headset, and walk through the game together. Sessions start at $15 a player. This is the short version of what to know before you come.
What is Seaside VR?
It is an indoor arena, not a row of cabinets. You stand, walk, duck, and reach. Only one group is on the floor at a time, so you are not waiting behind strangers or playing next to another party. No gaming experience is required. A staff member fits the headset and walks you through the controls before the session starts. Most people are comfortable within a minute or two.
How much does VR cost in Seaside?
Three lengths, priced per player. The full list, with descriptions, is on the games page.
– Quick Play — 20 minutes, $15. Short arcade games for 1 to 6 players: Cops vs Robbers, Zombie Storm, AIM Assault, Terminator Uprising, and RE:COIL. The easiest first visit.
– Premium — 35 to 60 minutes, $35 to $40. Longer adventures, most for 1 to 4 players. Colony Olympus and Rotten Apple — New York Fallen run 45 minutes at $35. The Frozen City and The Outbreak run 35 minutes at $35. Dream Hackers runs an hour at $40. These games have suggested age from 9 to 18+.
– Escape rooms — 1 hour, $45. Puzzle sessions with little or no combat: The Pharaoh’s Tomb, The World Gate, The Time Vault, The Argonaut’s Gate, and The Occultist’s Mansion. The Asylum is a forensic horror escape, suggested 18+. Most escapes are built for 2 to 4 players.
Clean socks are required. If you forget, a pair is $3. Birthdays and team bookings are priced separately.
Who can play?
Guests need to be 9 or older. Players 9 to 17 need a parent or guardian on the waiver. Players 9 to 12 need that adult on-site. You should be able to stand and walk for the length of the session. If you are unsure, call 503-717-5230 before you book.
What happens when you arrive?
Check in, sign the waiver, and get fitted. Then you play. Phones, keys, and anything in a pocket can fall out while you move, so leave them with someone who is not playing or ask at check-in where bags can sit.
Hours, booking, and walk-ins
Our hours are posted at the website - SeasideVR.com. Booking online holds the floor. Bookings are final sale. You can move your start time once, free, until 2 hours before. If we cannot run the session, you get a full refund.
Getting here from Cannon Beach or Astoria
About 15 minutes from Cannon Beach, about 25 minutes from Astoria, straight along Highway 101. Park at the door. If you are building a coast day, this is the indoor hour that does not depend on the weather. For a wet weekend, see rainy day things to do in Seaside.
